Airport Land Use Commission

The purpose of this commission is to provide for the orderly development of the County’s public use airport(s) and those areas surrounding the airport(s).

Date Formed: May 4, 2004

Term/Expiration: Various (See Section 21671.5 of the State Aeronautics Code) 

Membership: 7 members
   • Appointed by the mayors of cities within the County (2)
   • County representatives appointed by the Board of Supervisors (2)
   • Aviation expert appointed by a selection committee consisting of the  managers of the public airport (2)
   • General public member appointed by the other six members (1)
