COVID-19 Return to Work/Worksite Attestation
To improve the quality of life for the people of Lake County experiencing mental illness or substance use disorders by offering recovery-oriented services.
Behavioral Health Services provides integrated recovery-oriented mental health, and substance use disorder services in clinic locations. We also operate and support several wellness centers to meet the needs of unserved and underserved populations.
Substance Use Disorder Services
Alcohol and drug abuse diversion and treatment services are available at the clinics and through contracts with local provider agencies. Services include individual and group counseling, and trauma-informed treatment services for adults and youth. We also provide referrals to detoxification or residential treatment centers. Fees for treatment services are based on a sliding scale. Medi-Cal is accepted. Substance use prevention services are provided to the community free of charge, using a community cooperation approach, alcohol/drug free alternative activities for youth, including support for peer leadership and classroom activities. Substance use prevention information is provided to the community using media, brochures, presentations and problem identification for employers and employee assistance programs, and school-based prevention programs.
Mental Health ServicesMental health services are designed to provide strong community-based partnerships with individuals and families who are dealing with serious mental illness, including those who have co-occurring (mental health and substance use) disorders. Recovery-oriented services include assistance with establishing stable housing, access to physical health care, medications management, trauma-informed counseling and peer support. Behavioral Health Services assists with management of mental health crises for all members of the community and provides for inpatient or temporary residential care, as appropriate.
