Lake County Big Read

The NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) designed to broaden our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book.Lake County Library is one of 75 not-for-profit organizations to receive a grant to host an NEA Big Read project between September 2018 and June 2019. The NEA presents NEA Big Read in partnership with Arts Midwest.

The NEA Big Read in Lake County, CA for October 2018 features Into the Beautiful North by Luis Alberto Urrea. Free copies of the book are available to county residents and there are a variety of events throughout the month exploring the themes of the novel selection.
