Please fill out the form below to register for Storytime in the Park. If you need help filling out the form please call Barbara at the Lakeport Library: 707-263-8817 extension 17102.

Right now storytime registration is open for programs Wednesday through Friday morning. You must register and receive a confirmation before being allowed to attend storytime. Only 10 participant families are allowed at each program.

Storytime in the Park is held with the permission of the City of Lakeport at Library Park:

200 Park St, Lakeport, CA 95453.

Storytime in the Park will look a little different this year, as the following rules and modifications will be enforced:
  • Registration is required. Those showing up without registration will not be allowed to participate. Registration is first come, first served.
  • Masks are required for all adults and children over the age of two. Parental guardians and caregivers must remain with their children during the program.
  • After registration participants will be assigned one of three groups for the rest of the summer. Participants can not switch groups later to avoid mixing.
  • Any family member or child that is experiencing symptoms of illness or COVID-19 should not participate in storytime and is not allowed to attend. All participants are asked to perform a symptoms self check before attending.
  • Families will be asked to practice social distancing of six feet at all times while at Storytime. Seating will be marked and assigned.
  • Families are asked to bring their own blankets or towels to sit on the grass. Ground coverings will not be provided by the library.
  • When arriving at storytime participants are required to remain in the designated area, while social distancing, before being directed to their assigned seating area.
  • When leaving storytime participants are required to remain in their marked seating area until dismissed, to assure social distancing can be maintained.

In addition during storytime there will be no snacks distributed and there will be no on-site crafts. Grab and go crafts may be provided to be used at home at the conclusion of the program.

We are taking these precautions to make the program as safe as possible. At this point, the best way to prevent infection is to minimize potential exposure to the virus that causes it. Everyone is susceptible to contracting COVID-19 upon exposure. There is currently no vaccine or cure. The safest course of action is to remain sheltered in place at home.

By registering, you agree to abide by all the rules above and any direction given by library staff during the program.

You are also acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending storytime, you and your family voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold the Lake County Library responsible for any illness or injury.
