Design Requirements, per California Plumbing Code

As per California Plumbing Code requirements, grease interceptors shall be constructed of impervious materials capable of withstanding abrupt and extreme changes in temperatures, shall be of substantial construction, watertight and equipped with easily removable covers. The interceptor shall contain a baffle system, which adequately diverts and slows the flow to avoid short-circuiting. Interceptors located in roadways or parking lots should be traffic rated.  Check with the Lake County Special Districts at 263-0119 to insure a lawful location is selected.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please feel free to contact the Lake County Special Districts Administration at 263-0119.
