11/20 PSPS Update

A PSPS Update, based on information from the County’s PG&E single point of contact:

The final decision to move forward with a November 20 PSPS Event has not yet been made.  However, the potential scope for Lake County has been significantly reduced from previous estimates:
13,371 Total Lake County Customers
140 Critical Facilities (hospitals, schools, etc.)
774 Medical Baseline Customers

Here is a link to PG&E’s map, which they anticipate updating soon:

The map is intended to provide only a general sense of the affected area.  PG&E’s address lookup tool is the best way to identify whether your specific property may lose power:

As of this morning’s update, it appears the City of Lakeport and the majority of the North and East Shores of the lake will not be affected by this potential PSPS Event.  As we have seen in previous events, however, the scope can change due to dynamic weather conditions.

At this time, residents of parts of the Kelseyville area and South Lake County, including the City of Clearlake, are particularly encouraged to Prepare Now:

The Lake County Office of Emergency Services continues to coordinate with community agencies and organizations to assess potential needs, and ensure continuity of critical public services to the greatest possible extent.

As of PG&E’s most recent update, it is still anticipated that four PG&E Community Resource Centers will be established in Lake County.  Because the total number of Lake County customers expected to be affected has been so significantly reduced, one or more of these locations may be eliminated.  Final locations are expected to be available tomorrow (Tuesday, 11/19) afternoon:
