Official Canvass and Vote-by-Mail Processing
There are many checks and balances when certifying election results. The process of certifying election results, also known as the Official Canvass, is mandated by California State Law to ensure that the public can have confidence in the integrity of the final results. Today’s update to the UNOFFICIAL Results for the November 5, 2019 Special District Election will be the last update until the final certified results of the Election are released. During the Official Canvass period the Registrar of Voters prioritizes the careful steps required to complete the canvass. UNOFFICIAL results are unofficial and do not determine the final outcome of the Northshore Fire Protection District’s Measure N.

Only final certified results will determine whether Measure N receives at least 66.7% to pass and become effective; or less than 66.7% to not pass. The election will be certified at the end of the Official Canvass period on December 5, 2019.

Please contact the Office of the Registrar of Voters at (707)263-2372 with any questions about elections processes.

The office is open Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and located inside the Courthouse at 255 N. Forbes Street in Lakeport.
