Two New Lake County COVID-19 Cases Confirmed, Investigations Ongoing

Lake County, CA (May 17, 2020) – Overnight, two Lake County residents tested positive for COVID-19, and one is hospitalized at this time.  They are members of the same household, and there is a known connection to a confirmed positive case in Mendocino County.  Case investigations and contact tracing are ongoing at this time.

In order to protect the identities of the affected individuals, no further information will be released at this juncture.

If you have symptoms, or are otherwise concerned you may have been exposed to COVID-19, contact your medical provider, visit to schedule Drive-Thru testing, or reach out to the Health Services Department, Public Health Division, for information on your options.

Urgent Health Advisory

Effective immediately, people on private water systems whose tap water comes from their own private intake into the lake, in the Oaks Arm and Lower Arm of Clear Lake should not drink the water.
