In the event of a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS), PG&E hopes to provide notice 48 hours before power will be turned off.
However, fire threats and other extreme conditions can quickly change, and actual notice may be significantly less than 48 hours.
PG&E customers must ensure their contact information is current. Update that info, and choose how you would like to be notified.
If you rent housing, live in a mobile home park, or have a similar arrangement, and are not a PG&E customer, contact your landlord for more information. PG&E is conducting special outreach to landlords and master tenants, and they may have additional information relevant to your situation.
Notice of any PSPS affecting Lake County will also be provided as early as possible through LakeCoAlerts. The Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services encourages all residents and other potentially-affected individuals to register for emergency alerts.
