Library Advisory Board
The Library Advisory Board's duties are to act in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors and the County Library Director regarding Library operations and services; common needs of the Library system; recommend, study, and review long-range plans and programs of the Library; review budget programs; and make budget recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.
The Library budget provides library services for County residents and visitors of all ages through four libraries located in Lakeport, Clearlake, Middletown, and Upper Lake. These services include loaning books and materials to residents, programs and events for children, teens, and adults that promote life-long learning and literacy, internet access through free wifi and public computers, reference assistance, and the adult literacy program.

Volunteers help the library in a variety of ways and are an integral part of providing quality library service to the public. As a volunteer, you will gain skills and knowledge that can help you in your career or your personal life. Students and others can gain community service credit while helping connect the community to books and learning.
