Search & Rescue

What is Search and Rescue? Search and Rescue is an entity of the local government in the county of which you reside. Typically this entity, or group, is comprised of volunteers of the community that devote their life to train in the Search and Rescue of people that need help. Search and Rescue responds to calls 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Search and Rescue PatchIn the Lake County Sheriff's Search and Rescue, there are currently approximately 20 Search and Rescue Volunteers in addition to the nearly 25 members of the Kelseyville Community Organization for Rescue and Public Service (K-CORPS). The Lake County Sheriff's Office employs 3 full time employees designated as Search and Rescue Coordinators, to act as liaisons between the Sheriff's Office and the volunteers.
