Escaping the Weather: Options for Lake County Residents

County Peer Support Centers and Library Branches Open During their Customary Hours

Lake County, CA (January 4, 2023) – With a significant rainstorm ongoing, and further showers and winds expected through much of the next week, some Lake County residents may be looking to escape the elements.  County Library Branch locations and Peer Support Centers operated by Lake County Behavioral Health Services can provide indoor respite during times of extreme weather.

While none of these are formal shelter locations, and there are no overnight services, for example, each of these facilities are currently expected to be open during their customary hours (described below).  Should storm-related power outages occur, availability may be affected.  For more information, call the phone numbers associated with each listing, or visit the Peer Support Centers' and Library Branches' informational webpages.
