Improvement in Blue-Green Algae

We are happy to report continued improvement in water sample testing for cyanobacteria in Clear Lake. The most recent lab results received on September 13, 2018 for the monitoring conducted on September 4, 2018 for this specific algae detects results at 6 of the 18 sampling sites, but all six of these are below the caution threshold.

You must submit a Right of Entry (ROE) form to Lake County Environmental Health by Friday, September 28 for your property to be included. Wildfire debris is hazardous to public health, and cannot be left on your property. Call 707-263-1164 to discuss your options with County Environmental Health Staff.

New Hours

New Office Hours

Many County offices are now open Monday-Thursday, from 8am-5pm. The County Administrative Officer has also released a video series, discussing the decision to reduce public hours for many County offices, and explaining how we reached this point.
